The project is well grounded through the erlier given trainings, which started in year 2002. The respons to the ongoing 3 years program in Pskov and the education in the other cities has been very positive.

Lectures, method exercises, roll plays, supervision och consultation with live families. Discussions about teaching methods and cooperation.

Sustainability and phase-out:
The Russian family therapists will through increased knowledge and experience gradually take an increased responsibility for this work.
Background Psychotherapeutical methods are at the moment used to a very limited extent in psychiatry and psycho-social work. There are a great need for education in this area and there are a lack of resources and partly also knowleges to solve the problem in the country.
Objectives The overall objective is a deepend knowledge in family therapy and network thinking in psychic and psychosocial problems. A gradual spread in Russia of psychotherapeutic knowledge from other psychotherapeutical theories will support family therapy and vice versa. The conference will help to create contacts and to share ideas about family therapy in clinical practise and teaching methodology.
Specific objectives/indicators Lectures and discussions about clinical work, training and supervision in family therapy.
