Summary To continue developing Family Medicine in Vologda Oblast through continue education oc family doctors and nurses, to create a 24-hours-call system in Vologda and Cherepovets.
Background Vologda Oblast started 2003 developing Family Medicine during a project together with the County Council of Jämtland and some of the districts have now units with family doctors and nurses. An embryo to a 24-hours-call has also just started in Vologda city.
Objectives To continue education of family doctors and family nurses, to create a well functioned 24-hours-call in Vologda and Cherepovets through seminars and study visits in Sweden and to higher the level of working family doctors and family nurses through seminars in Vologda.

Results 36 new educated family doctors and 40 new educated family nurses and 12 well educated personel to the 24-hours-call officies in Vologda and Cherepovets.
